Your child's first dental visit is an exciting and important step for the the entire family
Our pediatric dentists
and staff are committed to providing a warm,
for a positive experience. Your child may receive a customized book at home in advance of the
first appointment that describes the visit. We highly recommend reading the book at home with your
to help prepare them in advance.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a Lindner Dental receptionist who will gather necessary information including a medical and
dental history form
. This form may be printed, completed, and brought along to the appointment.
Your child will meet one of our pediatric hygienists who will help care for your child along with Dr. Lindner, Dr. Englander, and Dr. Casaverde.
The dental hygienist will review your child's medical and dental histories and introduce your child to the dental chair and dental instruments.
She will discuss and answer your questions regarding preventive dental issues such as teething, tooth eruption, brushing, flossing, fluoride, and
sealants. Your child may have an examination, dental cleaning, fluoride treatment, and/or x-rays during this first visit. The treatment performed
is based on your child's dental needs and level of cooperation. Dr. Lindner, Dr. Englander, or Dr. Casaverde will then come in to examine your
child's teeth and mouth, answer any of your dental or orthodontic questions, and provide recommendations for future dental and/or orthodontic care.
Our practice looks forward to a long and comfortable relationship with your family. Please provide us with any
you would like to share to enable us to improve our service to you.
At your first visit to our office, you will meet with one of our
for a comprehensive dental examination.
You can expect a complete evaluation of your jaw, facial muscles, teeth, gums and their supporting structures.
It is helpful to bring copies of your radiographs (x-rays) to your dental appointment.
If needed, radiographs will be taken.
Once the evaluation is complete, a comprehensive plan will be presented to you.
Recommendations will be made as to how to achieve and maintain your dental health.
