We are looking for a Dental Assistant to join our amazing pediatric team!
We are seeking an energetic, friendly and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team lead by board-certified pediatric dentists. The ideal candidate is upbeat, engaging, and passionate about treating children and their families. You should feel confident communicating with young patients, as well as their parents or guardians, and be a reassuring, positive presence during treatments and diagnostic procedures. Our office views dental assistants as key members of the treatment team and have a culture of mutual respect and collaboration amongst dentists, hygienists, assistants and other staff members.
As part of a collaborative team, you’ll work closely with colleagues within our multi-specialty practice—so strong communication, flexibility, and a team-centered attitude are essential. We also value individuals who are eager to contribute ideas, improve processes, and support a positive, trusting workplace culture.
Duties
· Assist pediatric dentists during treatment
· Take digital intraoral and panoramic dental radiographs
· Review patients’ medical history and records
· Prepare patients for diagnosis and/or treatment
· Charting and record treatment information in chart
· Perform post-operative patient care
· Expanded duties: Sealant placement, coronal polishing, nitrous monitoring
· Digital impressions for space maintainers or sports guard
· Apply fluoride varnish
· Clean and stock operatories
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED
· Friendly, compassionate, and dependable team player will to help in all areas of the office
· CDA with at least 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred
· DANB Radiology certification is required.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
· Expanded duties: Sealants, coronal polishing, nitrous monitoring (Preferred, but will train)
· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
· Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Note: We will assist you in obtaining DANB certification and any expanded duties certifications if you’re not currently certified

Schedule: Full time- Four days a week with one mid-week day off (32 hours per week) Benefit Eligible!
